Jayhawk women tripped up

Danielle McCray rebounded from a cold streak to score a career-high 30 in KU's loss to Nebraska.

— Kansas University junior Danielle McCray scored a career-high 30 points in the Jayhawks’ 67-58 women’s basketball loss to Nebraska on Wednesday in Devaney Center.

Krysten Boogaard scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Jayhawks, who fell to 12-5 overall, 1-3 in Big 12 play. NU is 10-7, 1-3.

McCray and Boogaard finished with 48 points, the rest of the Jayhawks 10. McCray also had eight rebounds.

NU, which trailed 33-32 at halftime, rolled 15-3 to start the final half. McCray scored 17 of her 30 points in the second half.

KU hit 24 of 47 shots for 51.1 percent to NU’s 42.6 percent mark. KU also outrebounded the Cornhuskers, 35-27, but was hurt by turnovers as NU converted 22 Jayhawk miscues into 20 points, eight of which came off fastbreaks.

Great example of Coach Bonnie's recruiting. She only needs 3-7 new players to make it our of the bottom of the Big XII. Goiubg to be a repeat of the last 4 years .... yah!

The program needs good attendance and coverage if it's ever going to become a top rated program.It starts here. Right on this site kusports.com. With their commitment to provide better coverage for the women's program.And the best way to do that is to put a different "next game" box in each of the three main sections (Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball). Each box dedicated to the sport of that section, with the one on the front page showing whatever.There should be plenty of room between the RSS subscription links and the photo gallery section to the right of the article.If to much of a problem, then the "next game" link at the top, under the search bar, showing the next game of that sport would be a logical alternative...
