Palm Springs, Calif. The Kansas University softball team fell to Oregon State and North Carolina on Thursday at the Cathedral City Classic.
The Jayhawks fell, 4-1, to Oregon State and 5-2 to No. 20 North Carolina.
KU fell to 4-7 on the year.
Val George took the loss against OSU, going four full innings for KU, which will face BYU at 2:30 p.m. today.

Seems like softball team is playing a tougher opening slate than usual? I believe
the strategy is get ready for the conference. Hope this does not become demoralizing,
or set up a pattern of defeat, as we now have in basketball and volleyball.
