Parrish, Fla. The Kansas University women’s golf team wrapped up its first two rounds at the Central District Invitational Monday.
Playing in their first tournament of the spring season, the Jayhawks sit in 12th place heading into today’s final round.
Junior Emily Powers shot rounds of 80 and 74 to finish the day 10-over par and tied for 38th place individually. Rounding out the lineup for the Jayhawks were sophomore Meghna Bal (77-78—155, T42), freshman Kalynd Carson (78-77—155, T42) and sophomores Sydney Wilson (84-77—161, T61) and Jennifer Clark (87-80—167, T70).
Auburn, ranked No. 10 in the nation by Golfweek.com, shot a 7-over-par 579 to finish the day in first place in the team race.
