Kansas rowing will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 28 at the new Kansas Rowing Boathouse at Burcham Park. The event coincides with the 40-year celebration of women’s sports at KU.

The dedication of the boathouse will take place at 1:30 p.m. Chancellor Robert Hemenway, athletics director Lew Perkins and rowing coach Rob Catloth will give remarks on the boathouse, as will select members of the student body.

The event is open to the public, and members of the rowing team will be giving tours of the new facility throughout the day.
