Cavs send Jackson to Erie of NBADL

Darnell Jackson, a starter on Kansas University’s 2008 NCAA championship basketball team, has been farmed out by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Jackson was assigned to Erie, Pa., of the NBA Development League on Monday. He played in 24 games for the Cavs, averaging 1.0 points and 1.2 rebounds, starting slowly after breaking a bone in his left wrist last October.

Jackson was selected by Miami with the No. 52 overall pick in last year’s draft. The Cavs acquired him for a 2009 second-round pick.

Darnell's trip to the D league only lasted one day....... he's already back with the Cavaliers.

Darnell played one game with Erie last night against the Utah Flash. He scored 24 pts (10 of 14 shooting) and grabbed 6 boards. And jsmith is right, he has already been recalled. Way to go, D-Block!

So what was up with the roster move? He's not going to learn a lot in one game in the D league.

Maybe they did it just to give him a confidence booster... He is only a rookie and has not been very productive in his limited minutes so far this season

gotta love D-Block. I can't pick a favorite player from last year's squad because there are too many good guys from that group. But....if I had to do it, Darnell Jackson would have to be the one.

Yep, they just wanted to let him dominate for a game and get some minutes.

Hey, did anyone see D-Jack "Flub" up his pre-game ritual with Lebron James on Sunday before they played the Lakers? It was Hilarious! Lebron always comes out last and goes to each player and gives a couple of sideways "High 5's" really quick and then gives a salute afterwards, but D-Jack completely botched it. He did one "Sideways 5" and then straight into the salute and Lebron was doing "Air High 5's" by himself and then the salute to finish it off. Lebron just made this goofy face at Darnell at it was "Priceless". I still love ya D-Jack!

D-Jacks much love and respect he got a little p.t. the other night and droped 24 points and bout 8 boards for the D-Leauge team just needed to prove he belongs not that much suprise he's not getting any time as an undersized big man on a deap roster for the Cavs. Knowing Darnell he's lovin every minute and he'll apriciate that championship ring in back to back seasons when Clevland goes on to win the Ship. Oh yeah shout out to all my boys from L Town.

I could really do without Lebron's routine, tossing powder in the air, etc. Just play ball.

When you are the greatest athlete on the planet I think its ok to toss a little powder in the air... Its his pregame ritual... A lot of players have one... Some people take pregame dumps and some throw powder in the air

Just so long as they don't take pregame powders and throw dumps in the air.

ESUjayhawk, Greatest Athlete on the Planet? On what is that based on? Hype from what I can surmise. He hasn't won't anything. You might want to hold upon the hero worship.

Boulder you sound more envious than anything else.....

Lebron is quite frankly the best athlete in the NBA, and there is definitely a case for him being the greatest athlete in the world...... Whether or not he's "won" anything with his team, has nothing to do with HIS athletic ability.

Yes, your evidence is overwhelming. Oh, wait a minute. You presented no evidence.
