CHAMPAIGN, ILL. Kansas University senior Yuliana Svistun and freshman Kate Morozova led the Jayhawk women's tennis team to a victory against Illinois-Chicago, 4-3, Saturday at Atkins Tennis Center.
Svistun and Morozova teamed up to provide the only doubles win for the Jayhawks (4-1). Morozova also won her singles match against the Horizon League player of the week, Illinca Cristescu, 6-4, 6-0. Svistun blanked her opponent, Jenna Reisch, 6-0, 6-0.
Sophomore Maria Martinez and freshman Erin Wilbert provided the other two necessary singles victories to clinch the dual victory for the Jayhawks.
