Kansas men’s golf 15th in Hawaii

— Nate Barbee shot a final-round 73 and tied for 69th place to pace Kansas University’s golfers to a 15th-place team finish Friday at the Hawaii-Hilo Invitational at the Mauna Resort North Course.

Southern Cal won the team title with 851 strokes. KU had 924.

Barbee shot 78-80-73—231. Other KU results: Walt Koelbel, tied for 72nd, 80-75-77—232; Blake Giroux, tied for 74th, 70-88-75—233; Andrew Storm, tied for 83rd, 81-81-76—238; and Ian Anson, 90th, 83-78-80—241.
