Keena Mays, a 5-foot-7 guard from Arlington, Texas, verbally committed to the Kansas women's basketball team earlier this week.

"Ultimately it's where I felt most comfortable," Mays told ESPN.

Mays, the 93rd-ranked player for the class of 2010 in the ESPN HoopGurlz Hundred, chose KU over California, Central Florida, Illinois, Miami, North Carolina State and Texas A&M;, according to ESPN.

I attended the girls Kansas coaches all-star game in Topeka this week and there were five players going to Division I schools. Not one was going to KU. The best player on the floor was going to Oklahoma. The second best was going to Boise State. So I am supposed to be excited about another recruit from Texas when Bonnie doesn't apparently even know where Wichita is?

Hey doolindalton-do you follow prep sports? Do you understand how much different other states are from Kansas(even with the new changes to the KSHSAA they are light years ahead)? Bonnie recruited the youngest McFarland hard since she got here-(McFarlands oldest sis went to KSU and middle one CU) but the family is OU fans so the little one went there. Also OU has been to 2 Final Fours in recent years and word is the McFarlands are OU fans(lots of Wichita area is) SO YES BONNIE DOES KNOW WHERE WICHITA IS.

When Angel Goodrich committed to KU did you go to the OU newspaper and talk smack to Sherri Coale about not knowing where Tahlequah was? Because after all we went into Oklahoma and took one from her.

Also do you think Self shouldn't have recruited Arthur or Mangino shouldn't have recruited Reesing? I mean both from Texas had to be someone from Kansas that could be just as good right?

Check out Keena's offer list and even had interest coming from Geno and UConn(ask Geno about how Lew Perkins helped him build his dynasty-he loves him btw) Shes a baller and Bonnie is going to give teams fits with Angel in the backcourt with Keena.

WELCOME ABOARD Ms. Mays-pieces are falling into place and the new facilities will really help! Rock Chalk!

Watching the NIT finale last year, it was obvious the USF guards were faster and better than our guards. So onlyoneUinKansas is right, Angel and Keena are going to wreak havoc on the opposing teams this year! Congrats to Bonnie and the program! Keep up the good work!
