Hutchinson Nate Barbee and Bryan Hackeberg carded rounds of 72 to help Kansas University’s men’s golf team move up the leaderboard into a tie for fifth place entering the final round of the Big 12 Championships on Tuesday at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
As a team, KU shot a 290 on Tuesday and is tied with Kansas State with 894 strokes through three rounds.
“This was as complete of a team effort as we have had in a long time,” KU coach Kit Grove said. “All the guys did their part today, and that is really important on a course that is this difficult.”
Barbee and Hackenberg moved up eight spots on the leaderboard to 14th place after round three with 224 strokes.
Senior Zach Pederson carded a third-round 73 and will enter the final round tied for 10th place at 220.
KU’s Andrew Storm is tied for 31st at 229, and Walt Koelbel is 54th at 236.
Baylor’s Bill Allcorn leads at 209, while Oklahoma State is the team leader at 868.
The final round is today.

So... what do they need to finish as a team to go on to NCAA Regionals (I think that is what they are called?)
