Lubbock, Texas Junior Meghan Gockel shot a two-over-par 75 on Friday to lead the Kansas University women's golf team to fourth place after round one at the Big 12 Championship. Two other Jayhawks finished among the top 20 individuals at The Rawls Course.
Joining Gockel among the individual leaders were sophomores Meghna Bal, who shot a 77 to tie for 11th, and Sydney Wilson, who is tied for 17th after shooting a 78. Rounding out the lineup for KU were junior Emily Powers and sophomore Grace Thiry, who each shot rounds of 82 to tie for 39th.
