Bryan, Texas Zach Pederson shot a season-best 73 to put the Kansas men's golf team in 12th place at the rain-shortened Aggie Invitational.
Heavy thunderstorms moved through east Texas early Saturday morning cancelling the first round of the event and shortening the event to 36 holes.
Pederson shot a solid round with two birdies and three bogeys and is tied for 40th place. Sophomore Nate Barbee shot a two-over 74, including a two-under score over his last 15 holes, to enter the final round tied for 49th place.
Senior Walt Koelbel and junior Bryan Hackenberg both shot opening-round 76s to finish the day tied for 61st place. Senior Andrew Storm shot a 77 to tie for 66th place. Sophomore Bobby Knowles carded a 79 to enter the final round in 74th place.
The final round will be today.
