Goodrich cleared

After a knee injury kept her off the court last season, acclaimed point guard Angel Goodrich is looking forward to donning a KU basketball uniform this fall.

Kansas University women’s basketball freshman guard Angel Goodrich was medically cleared Wednesday for full participation following nearly six months of rehabilitation after having knee surgery in October of 2008 for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.

Goodrich, a 2008 WBCA High School All-American, injured her knee in KU’s second practice of the season on Oct. 19, 2008. She had reconstructive surgery on Oct., 29, 2008 and has been rehabbing in the months following.

The Tahlequah, Okla., native, will receive a medical redshirt for the 2008-09 season and will have four seasons of eligibility remaining. She will join four returning starters from last season’s 22-14 team that advanced to the 2009 WNIT Championship game. The Jayhawks are also adding six signees for the upcoming season.

Mark it down folks, we're gonna be good, maybe even Top 25 good on a weekly basis

First we need to get to the Top 25 ranking before we can stay there. Lol

But I can't wait until November... it's time for the Women's Team to shine next year as well as the men's team.
