KU women’s golf fourth

? Katy Nugent tied for fourth place individually to lead the Kansas women’s golf team to a fourth-place finish on Tuesday at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The tournament closed KU’s fall season.

Nugent shot rounds of 73, 71 and 72 to finish at 216. As a team, KU shot 296, 296 and 295 for an 887 total. Kennesaw State won with a 875 total.

? The Kansas University women’s golf finished in fourth place on Monday at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic.

Kansas began the final round in sixth place.

Emily Powers and Grace Thiry both tied for 11th place individually. Baylor edged out Oklahoma to take the team title at 941.
