KU women’s golf in sixth


— Grace Thiry and Emily Powers were tied for 12th place Sunday after shooting scores of 158 to lead the Kansas University women’s golf team Sunday to a sixth-place standing after two rounds at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic.

The 15-team field will conclude today with a final 18 holes at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course.

Oklahoma leads the team standings with 629 strokes. KU is sixth at 641.

Other KU scores: Meghan Gockel, tied for 28th, 162; Sydney Wilson, tied for 32nd, 163; and Meghna Bal, tied for 42nd, 167.
