It's understandable that KU didn't move up at this week's voting. Only one team infornt of KU dropped beyond 16th place which gave KU opportunity to move up one spot. However, that one spot was taken by OK. ST. who beat Mizu yesterday. I think OK ST. deserved to over take KU based on their performance yesterday at Columbia. It's still early. All KU has to to is to win, win and win and we will be sitting pretty at the Bowl time.

I suspect that mU will have two loses by next week. Sweet! If we just keep our focus and just do what we do best, things will fall in place.

It's not hard to understand since our performances have not been very strong. However, we still get the W. Go hawks, go to work and don't keep your eyes off the polls. Concentrate on them Sooners and make it a fight. Catch them still sulking about their bad showing in the Red River Shootout.

I agree with all previous comments. Don't worry, we'll be in the top 10 come next Sunday.

I'm not excited about playing an angry OU team, though. Our guys need to have their heads on straight and playing at the top of their game.

Our boys need to be hungry. We're going against a wounded OU team. They won't take us lightly. We need to go into Norman and play our best the entire game, not just three quarters.

If we had OU in Lawrence I could see an upset. OU lost their ONLY linebacker with any experience for the season against UT.I still think the strength of OU is their offensive and defensive lines.....exactly KU's weakest links. If our lines play out of their minds and Reesing pulls out a classic, we may be able to hang with OU for a while.Anybody heard anything about Caleb Blakesley? I hope the kid can come back this week. I thought #99 Jamal Greene played a whale of a game considering he couldn't come out much due to Blakesley's injury.

i hope KU enjoys the ranking for now because were going 4-4 in the big twelve, we got a great team that will go to a bowl but the schedule is just brutal, if we cant get a consistent pass rush against these spread teams its gonna be just like MU last year. OU has two first round picks on one side of its line, Duke Robinson and Phil Loadholt, theyre gonna shut jake laptad down, but we can always watch and hope, go hawks!

While we still have to play the game I don't expect a major upset in Norman. That being the case, I think you will see a lot of voters dropping us out of the top 25. But we should be leading the Big 12 North at that point. Could be a good reason for keeping us in.

mbmerriman......I sure hope we do better than 4 and 4 in the Big 12! We would only have to win 2 of the next 6 to accomplish that! KSU? No defense. We should win that one. NU? We get them after OU beats the stuffing out of them. I'm optimistic about that one. UT looks very good. OU looks very good. TT is a game we can win in Lawrence. MU still looks very good, it's just that OSU is a legit Top 10 team in my opinion.I would hope we go at least 8-4 and 5-3 in the league. If we go 4-4 I would consider that a step back. If we go 6-2 that would be incredible!

i agree, i think KSU and NU are wins even though ill believe we can win in lincoln when i see it. TT we have a legit shot at winning, they looked weak against Neb and they have offensive line issues, laptad should be able to jump down Harrells throat. But if we can win one of the other three it will be a down right miracle.

I wasn't looking forward to OU, and UT seems even worse now, tho we do get them at home at least. TTech is the most overrated team left, although Mizzoo is a major hype this year - good, but no where near elite. That being said, we could lose all of them, including K-State and NU, if the team doesn't show up. I'm looking for at least 5-3, and hopefully 6-2.Rock Chalk
