For the first time in 15 years, the Baker University football team has made the NAIA playoffs.
"It's a great feeling," BU quarterback Mack Brown said. "It's a goal we have every year, and it feels great to reach that goal."
On Sunday afternoon, Baker's players and coaches gathered for a pizza party on campus in Baldwin City and soon learned they would meet Morningside College in the first round at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.
"I was kind of figuring we would meet Friends in the first round," Baker coach Mike Grossner said, noting that Friends is located in Wichita and geography plays a large role in the parings.
