KU grad Jacobs inducted into tennis hall of fame

— Tom Jacobs, a Kansas University graduate and longtime NCAA staffer, was one of nine new members inducted into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Hall of Fame on Wednesday night.

The others were players Steve Denton of Texas, David DiLucia of Notre Dame, Donald Johnson of North Carolina, Patrick McEnroe of Stanford, Jim Pugh of UCLA, Robbie Weiss of Pepperdine and Chris Woodruff of Tennessee; and coach Jerry Noyce of Minnesota.

Jacobs was inducted for his contributions while at the NCAA.

Hmm, I wonder how KU's mens tennis team is doing? Oh wait. Title IX killed it.

Probably the first and last KU Men's Tennis individual to ever make the hall.Maybe the Women will have someone now!

You're right, stravinsky. The NERVE of those women, wanting to have a chance to compete athletically. They should stick to homemaking, where they belong.
