Norman, Okla. Former Oklahoma backup quarterback Keith Nichol says he is transferring to Michigan State. Nichol, from Lowell, Mich., will sit out next season and have three years of eligibility remaining with the Spartans.
Nichol originally gave an oral commitment to Michigan State while in high school, but changed his mind after the school fired then-coach John L. Smith. He settled on Oklahoma, where he enrolled early.
