Former Kansas University track weight and hammer thrower Jen Widerstrom will join season two of NBC's American Gladiators as the newest Gladiator, "Phoenix," as announced by the network Wednesday. The Lisle, Ill., native in 2005 set the school record in the hammer throw at 55.82 meters (183 feet, 2 inches).
