KU baseball up three spots
From last place to still alive, last week was just what the Kansas baseball team needed heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.
Kansas University senior baseball left fielder John Allman was named Big 12 player of the week. He's the second Jayhawk to win the honor since 2006.
Allman hit .500 last week, leading KU to a nonconference victory over Missouri and a Big 12 Conference sweep of Oklahoma. He had eight hits in 16 at-bats with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs.
