Former Kansas University pitcher Mike Zagurski will open the baseball season on the Philadelphia Phillies' 15-day disabled list.
Zagurski, a left-handed reliever, underwent hamstring surgery last August and is still rehabbing. Zagurski has thrown off the mound this spring, but has not appeared in a game.
In his rookie season with the Phils last summer, Zagurski compiled a 1-0 record with a 5.91 earned-run average in 25 appearances.
