KU softball creams Buffalo
Today the Kansas softball team played host to the Buffalo Bulls in the Kansas Invitational.
Junior Val Chapple collected four home runs and 10 RBIs as Kansas University's softball team swept Buffalo in a doubleheader Friday at the Kansas Invitational.
KU rolled past the Bulls, 9-0 in five innings, in Game One before notching a 12-5 victory in the nightcap.
Chapple went a perfect 6-for-6 from the plate on the day, including three homers in the first match-up. Junior Dougie McCaulley finished with four hits, and freshman Brittany Hile added three as the Jayhawks combined for 23 hits between the two games.
KU will play two more games this afternoon. The Jayhawks square off with Louisiana Tech at 2 p.m. followed by another contest with Buffalo at 4 p.m.
