He barely played but a few months overseas a few years ago. Why does he think he can go "pro" again? He hasn't show the dedication to practice and such so he's shooting for the stars if he thinks he go league.

Don't be a jerk. He's recovered from a knee injury and trying to help the current hawks. Why hate on Jeff?

Everyone has dreams. MANY recent KU players when asked "who is the best bball player you have played with/against" actually listed Jeff Hawkins. Wow! He must have some Iverson-skills or something?? At 5'11" and maybe 165lbs, there were reasons (named RussRob, Chalmers) beyond pure basketball 1on1 skills that limited his playing time for KU. People at his (and any) age DO get better at this game, so maybe he has more to offer now than he ever did. Everyone has dreams, and for pro bball, THIS is the time to try! I remember dreaming of racing the Indy500 (pure pipe dream), and of being a USAF fighter pilot (vision not 20/20). One day you either achieve your dream OR you reanalyze and move on...How can we not root for a guy named "J.Hawk"?
