Is this Team USA our Olympic team, or did I hear that baseball is no longer an Olympic sport?

Toto - 2008 is the last year for baseball and softball in the Olympics, unless they vote in the future to bring it back.

who plays on the US National team? College players? Minor Leaguers? What was that one team of MLB All-Stars who played in the tournament against all the other national teams a few years ago?

I think that was the World Baseball Classic, or something like that, but that wasn't the National team, which is amateurs-only, I think.

Not true. Pat Borders (who was the MVP of a world series) was on the 2000 olympic team. He and 11 more of the 28 players on that team had major league service time. So I believe the restriction is something to do with current status, because Borders played for 7 different major league teams, and certainly would have surpassed any maximum requirement.
