Ashley Ellis, one of three Kansas University women's basketball signees, won't be enrolling in August.

KU coach Bonnie Henrickson said Wednesday that Ellis, a 6-foot-3 center from Antioch, Calif., did not qualify for a scholarship and is expected to enroll in a junior college.

As a senior at Deer Valley High, Ellis averaged 13.4 points and 9.4 points a game.

Henrickson's two other signees - Angel Goodrich and Aishah Sutherland - have qualified for scholarships. Goodrich is a 5-5 point guard from Tahlequah, Okla., and Sutherland is a 6-3 center from Perris, Calif.

The noose around Coach Bonnie's neck got a little tighter! She has only two recruits to a team that needs 4-5 quality Big XII performers!Better schedule some more cream puffs to get everyone ready for the annual stay in the Big XII lower 2nd division!KSU rakes in Kansas talent, but not COach Bonnie. McCray is not enough!

Coach Bonnie can't add four to five because she is only allowed 15 scholarships. We should be just fine, I have seen a glimpse of what these two freshmen can do, and with the help of the other teammates we should do alright.

WBBL, how can she have 15 scholarships, when her team is penalized scholarships by the NCAA for rules violations?

I was told by one of her coaches, she has 15 scholarships to give, and this year they are using 14. Don't ask me, that's just what I was told from someone in her office.

Jamie Boyd Forward 6-0 Sr. & Taylor McIntosh Guard 5-11 Sr. were the only seniors last year.I also seem to recall that a team has the option to slide a penalty one way or the other one year. I believe I read about the FB team legally doing this a year or so ago.
