Jayhawks improved from line

Now - two weeks into the new year - is typically about the time those new year’s resolutions tend to deteriorate, whether they be to lose weight, quit smoking or not to curse so much. So far, the Kansas University men’s basketball team has bucked that trend - at least at the charity stripe.

As minds go, Bill Self’s is about as quick as Mario Chalmers’ first step when the guard pops into a passing lane. Self’s always quick with a one-liner and is even quick to check his swing when he thinks the quip that popped into his head might come back to haunt him. Texas A&M still clicking

Losing its head coach and best player doesn’t seem to be slowing down Texas A&M one bit. If anything, says Texas Tech assistant coach Pat Knight, the Aggies are better than last year, when Billy Gillispie and Acie Law led them to a school-record 27 wins in one of their greatest seasons ever.
