Fresno, Calif. Kansas University sophomore Emily Powers secured a tie for second place to help the KU women's golf team finish in third at the Kitahara Invitational on Tuesday.
Powers posted a 1-over-par total score of 145.
After leading the tournament at the end of day one with 295, Kansas slipped two notches in the team leaderboard, carding a 301 on the last 18 holes for a combined total 596.
The Jayhawks will next look to travel to Austin, Texas, where the University of Texas will play host at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, March 17-19.
