Several individuals from the Kansas University track and field team competed in two different meets Friday - the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa.
Junior Kate Sultanova finished second in the women's pole vault in Fayetteville, clearing the bar at 13-91â4.
Other results from Arkansas: Senior Barrett Saunders finished fifth in the long jump at 23-61â4, sophomore Kirk Cooper was fifth in the men's pole vault at 16-5 and junior Zlata Tarasova took fifth in the women's weight throw at 61-71â2.
In Iowa, senior Alicia McGregor finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run at 17:17.39.
Events at both meets continue today.
