On Friday, legislators and Governor Sebelius will honor the KU basketball, football, and debate teams for their accomplishments this year.
Topeka Kansas University will take a victory lap around the state Capitol on Friday.
Representatives from the national championship basketball team and debate team and Orange Bowl champion football team will have a photo opportunity with Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.
Plans also are under way for the teams to visit the House and Senate chambers that day.

Settle down, Mr. President, I'm sure they'll come by soon enough.

I had no idea we had a championship debate team. It's always a nice suprise to find out another way KU shines in the national spotlight. I can only imagine how glad Sebelius gets to do this with the Jayhawks rather than the Wildcats.

For their photo-op, they should all stand in front of the John Brown portrait/mural and wave their championship schwag in the air like he is doing with his rifle. That'll really scare the pesky Missourans.

I think if Kate had to do this with KSU she would be all decked out in as much Crimson and Blue as possible while she was there.Fun football sim:http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=8878866
