College Station, Texas At least Kansas University had a hit in this one.
A day after being no-hit by Texas A&M, the Jayhawks had three safeties in an 8-0, run-rule-shortened Big 12 Conference softball loss to the No. 4 Aggies on Sunday.
The Aggies (42-7 overall, 14-1 Big 12) collected 11 hits off two KU pitchers.
Stevie Crisosto, Betsy Wilson and Liz Kocon each had a hit for Kansas (30-15, 4-8), which surrendered two runs in each of the first, fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Megan Gibson improved to a league-best 27-1. She threw all six innings and struck out 10.
Valerie George (16-7) took the loss after surrendering six runs - all earned - off eight hits over five frames.
KU will play host to Missouri-Kansas City at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
