Wallace, N.C. Nate Barbee shot his fourth under-par round of the year Saturday, a second-round 70 to lead Kansas University's men's golf team at the River Landing Intercollegiate. The Jayhawks improved upon their first-round score by five strokes and moved up five spots into a tie for seventh.
Barbee carded five birdies on the day and is tied for 21st place at 146. Fellow freshman Brad Hopfinger is tied for 31st place at 148.
Junior Walt Koelbel is tied for 42nd with 150 strokes. Zach Pederson is tied for 50th at 151. Patrick Roth is tied for 72nd place with a 157.
