The Kansas University athletics department announced Thursday that the Spring football game, originally scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium, will now be played Monday at 7 p.m.
Gates will open at 6 p.m, and admission for the public is still free.
The game was moved due to anticipation of inclement weather in the Lawrence area Saturday afternoon.

Just to pre-empt some of the pro-football, anti-basketball KU fans around here...RELAX! Even IF this change has anything to do with our championship, KU is not a basketball-only school. We love our football team. Rescheduling it seems the best move for all.

moving the spring game?...come on...thats not good...it will be tough to get 50,000 there now...saturday was much better and the weather will clear by saturday ..i just saw the extended forecast...wow

This SUCKS!!! I had hotel reservations at the Eldridge and was looking forward to coming back to Lawrence. Now I won't come back. Yeah seeing the parade would be nice, but I was really looking forward to the spring game, and with all the vacation time i've already used on KU athletics I just can't justify it. The weather couldn't be any worse that it was at the Baylor game last year. Crooner- I think there are just two kinds of fans, KU and others... everyone on here (this board) is a KU fan.I LOVE basketball and football no need to draw any unnecessary lines.

Crooner is one of these idiots on here that constantly bitches about this being a two sport school and we need to support both teams...when in reality its tools like him that are the only ones that bring that crap up!For those of us that live out of town and were planning to come up to support another KU sports team...now we cannot. So this sucks!rcjhku!

Wow, a spring game played on a Monday night?? That just doesnt seem right!! wats211- Love your enthusiam man, but we werent getting anywhere near 50,000 there even if it was on a Saturday.
