Waco, Texas Freshman Tony Thompson collected a career high three hits, including his second home run of the season, and Ryne Price hit his team-leading ninth homer of the season.
But it wasn't enough, as 29th-ranked Baylor knocked off Kansas, 12-6 Saturday at Baylor Ballpark.
The Bears improve to 18-11 overall and 5-6 in the Big 12, while Kansas drops to 19-15 overall and 1-7 in conference play.
The Jayhawks will look to salvage the third and final game of the series at 1:05 p.m. today in Waco.
