Pebble Beach, Calif. The Kansas University men's golf team opened its season with rounds of 311 and 300 at the St. Mary's Invitational. KU is tied for 15th after day one.
"This obviously wasn't the start we were looking for, but we are still very young and untested," KU coach Kit Grove said. "There is no excuse to how we played in the morning round."
The final round will be held today.
