Tulsa, Okla. — Kansas University's Elizaveta Avdeeva and Edina Horvath continued their quest for a second straight ITA Central Region doubles championship Friday as the duo advanced to the tournament's quarterfinals.

The tandem, ranked 36th in the nation and seeded second at the event, defeated Arkansas' Audrey Bordeleau and Delia Damaschin in a tiebreak match, eventually coming out on top, 9-8 (5).

In singles, Ardeeva opened play with a 6-3, 6-3 loss to OU's Chelsea Orr.

In consolation singles play, KU's Yuliana Svistun lost to Saint Louis' Amanda Hellberg, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (7).
