Ames, Iowa Kansas University's swimming and diving team placed fourth at the Big 12 Relays, on Friday at Beyer Hall. Texas A&M won the event with 117 points and was followed by Texas (88), Missouri (67) and KU (56).
The Big 12 Relay meet features relay events ranging from same-stroke relays, such as the 150-yard backstroke relay, to regular relay events like the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Highlighting the day for the Jayhawks was the distance freestyle trio of Molly Brammer, Alicia Casillas and Ashley Robinson, which finished third in the 1500-yard freestyle relay with a time of 15:15.56.
KU recorded three additional third-place finishes on the day. Sarah Edwards, Leidigh, Maria Mayrovich and Terri Schramka were third in the 100-yard freestyle relay in 45.32.
Leidigh, Mayrovich, Whitney Taylor and Danielle Herrmann recorded a time of 1:48.76 in the 200-yard medley relay.
Emily Lanteigne, Edwards, Mayrovich and Schramka placed third in the 400 free relay in 3:29.66.
