SPRINGFIELD, MO. Maria Mayrovich, Alicia Casillas and Danielle Herrmann led the Kansas University swimmers to a 171-68 victory over Drury on Saturday. The Jayhawks swept all events of the meet. Mayrovich, Casillas and Herrmann each recorded individual victories and broke Breech Pool records in their respective events.
Mayrovich clocked in at a 50.67 in the 100-yard freestyle, breaking the previous Breech Pool record of 50.96, while Herrmann recorded a time of 2:05.77 in the 200-yard IM (previous pool record was 2:06.53). Casillas led the way in the distance free events, recording victories in both the 1,000- and 500-yard free events; her time of 10:03.50 in the 1,000 free broke another Breech Pool record by nearly 12 seconds.
