Waco, Texas Kansas University's tennis squad fell to No. 16 Baylor, 7-0, Friday, dropping the Jayhawks to 4-10 overall and 2-3 in Big 12 play. The loss snapped KU's streak of two straight conference victories.
In No. 1 singles, junior Elizaveta Avdeeva took Baylor's 28th-ranked Zuzana Zemenova, a former NCAA champion and last year's Big 12 Player of the Year, to three sets before being edged, 12-10, in the third set.
KU will travel to Texas Tech on Sunday.
