SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Three home runs and solid pitching carried Kansas University to a softball doubleheader sweep of Missouri State, 4-0 and 3-0, on Wednesday at the Missouri State Softball Field.

Elle Pottorf and Ally Stanton each homered in Game One, and Amanda Jobe homered in the nightcap.

Valerie George (8-2) earned the win with a nine-strikeout, three-hit, complete-game shutout in the opener.

Sarah Vertelka (5-4) allowed one hit with two strikeouts in her complete-game win in Game Two.
