Chicago As the Kansas Jayhawks took low-pressure jumpshots, made run-of-the-mill passes and otherwise jogged across the court Thursday at Chicago's United Center, other teams elsewhere were busy struggling to survive and advance in this year's NCAA Tournament.
Or suffer the alternative: Go home.
With the 'Hawks ticketed to play on the first round's second night for the fourth consecutive year - this year's KU opener tips off at 6:10 p.m. Friday - we took the time to direct our ongoing "15 seconds of..." feature toward timing.
So, KU fans, just how do you think playing Friday night affects the team, the fans and others anxious to have their day in March Madness?
We've assembled some of their responses here, in our homage to Andy Warhol's famous observation that everyone gets 15 minutes of fame.
We'll call this edition 15 seconds of ... assessing the timeframe
