LAFAYETTE, LA. Kansas University senior Gary Woodland tallied his third victory of the year Tuesday at the Louisiana Classic after firing a final-round score of 70.
Woodland won the Kansas Invitational and All-American Golf Classic earlier this year. His three-round total of 205 marks his top 54-hole total of the year.
"I am happy to see Gary is continuing to play well," KU coach Ross Randall said. "Other than Gary we didn' play very well as a team. I was disappointed with the finish coming off of last week's victory. We are still dealing with a lot of illness throughout our team and coaches and we just need to start feeling better."
Junior Joey Mundy finished tied for 43rd after firing a final-round 73. Senior Tyler Docking also shot a 73 on Tuesday to finish tied for 48th.
The Jayhawks will next be in action on March 19-20 when they travel to the Western Intercollegiate in Santa Cruz, Calif.
