Kansas University soccer players Monica Dolinsky and Emily Cressy earned gold medals at the U.S. Youth Soccer Nationals in Frisco, Texas. Cressy, a 5-foot-5 freshman from Ventura, Calif., was named most outstanding offensive player after scoring two goals in the Eagles SC's 3-2 victory over Dallas in the Under 17 girls championship match. Dolinsky, a 5-5 sophomore from Carmel, Ind., played for the Carmel Cyclones, who beat Virginia Cardinals, 2-0, in the U-19 title game.
