DESTIN, FLA. The Kansas University women's golf team shot a 323 in windy conditions Saturday and sits in a tie for fourth place after the first round of the Chrysler Challenge at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
Host Florida State is the first-round leader in the 10-team field at 303, followed by North Carolina (314), Mississippi (321), Kansas and Charleston College (323).
Freshman Camilla Svensson carded the top KU score with a 6-over 77, good for a tie for fifth place.
The second round will tee off at 7 a.m. today.
