A good quality win for our ladies. Last year, they would have fallen apart and this game would have been a loss. I am very pleased that we have more than just one player on our team. Kelly Kohn has stepped up in the absence of Dani. Great game Jayhawks!

While I agree with you kucourtsider that last years KU WBB team would have fallen apart, we also have to recognize that SJSU is 1-10 and playing at home.

Coach Bonnie's teams have a history of going about 9-3 before Big XII play and then 3-13 in BIG XII play.

This team looks very similar to the last few versions. No stars or take charge players (hopefully McCray will emerge) just throw out 8-10 players sand see who wants to play each game.

This is typical of a young team, but KU has been young for so long that the players never seem to mature or step up their game for a long run of games.

Don't know if it is the Coach's recruiting philosophy and the players don't gell or X and O's, but this is getting very old at the price Lew and the Athletic Department is paying!

FlaHawk-first of all rebuilding our women is similar to what Mangino had to do with the football team. Its not overnight-Washington had run this program into the ground. Bonnie had to totally change the culture before she could even start getting recruits. This team is young as can be with almost all the PT coming from Frosh and Sophs. Her recruiting class next year is GREAT-and believe me she is getting there.

I pay alot of attention to all the programs around the Big 12 not just Kansas and I can gurantee that people respect Bonnie more than anyone and they know Kansas is building a program. This team may not win the Big 12 but with McCray healthy they are going to be a challenge for anyone to face. She wait til these Sophs are Seniors and I almost gurantee that we are ranked in the top 15.

Bonnieball will get there!

Time and patience ...

the comparison between Coach Mangino and Coach Henrickson is a good one, they both didn't start with very much, and have a lot to overcome, the least of which is apathy toward their programs!
