— Gary Woodland and Tyler Docking tied for ninth place, and the Kansas University men's golf team placed seventh as a team Sunday at the Landfall Tradition.

Woodland completed the final round while playing in great pain after suffering a back injury during warm-ups. He shot a final round-score of 76 to record his fifth top-10 finish in five tries during the fall season.

Docking shot a tournament-low final-round score of 68 to move into ninth place for his third top-10 finish of the fall season.

Tulsa, led by individual co-champions Mitch Cohlmia and Nicholas Geyger, won the team championship with 868 strokes. The Golden Hurricane was followed in the top five by Xavier, Purdue, Ohio State and Memphis.

Other KU results: Bobby Knowles, tied for 35th; Patrick Roth, tied for 38th; and Zach Pederson, 58th.

Isn't it journalism 101 to put in the basic facts??? Seventh out of how many? Seventh out of eight isn't very good. Seventh out of 70 is great. Minor detail.
