TULSA, OKLA. — Kansas University junior Elizaveta Avdeeva and sophomore Edina Horvath advanced to the second round of the singles bracket, and together, the duo moved on to the round of 16 in the doubles draw Thursday at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships.

Avdeeva and Horvath are now in the round of 32 in singles play.

In doubles actions, Avdeeva and Horvath, who had a first round bye, beat Tulsa's Grimes and Zabeleta, 8-6, to move on.
