Waco, Texas Baylor scored four runs over the final two innings to pull away from Kansas University and claim a 5-1 Big 12 Conference baseball victory over the Jayhawks on Sunday.
The Bears (14-6 overall, 2-1 Big 12) took two of three in the weekend series. KU fell to 16-8 and 1-2.
The Jayhawks scored their only run in the fourth on a solo home run from Gus Milner, which tied it at 1.
An RBI single by BU's Beamer Weems gave the Bears the lead for good in the seventh. Baylor added three insurance runs in the eighth inning.
Senior Kodiak Quick (3-1) took the loss for KU. He allowed two runs - both earned - off nine hits over 61â3 innings.
KU will travel Wednesday to Omaha, Neb., to face Creighton.
