Salt Lake City Adam Morrison was teased, taunted and frustrated. So when Gonzaga finally grabbed control for good against Xavier, he let all that emotion out by slamming the ball against his head - three times.
With that out of system, he calmly made two free throws to seal Gonzaga's 79-75 come-from-behind victory over Xavier on Thursday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
"That's been Adam for a long time," Gonzaga coach Mark Few said. "When he's out there, special things happen, and intense things happen."
The Bulldogs' mustachioed, mop-topped star scored seven of his 35 points in the final two minutes, and third-seeded Gonzaga rallied to advance in the Oakland Regional.
J.P. Batista added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Zags (28-3), who won their 19th in a row and next will play Indiana.
Stanley Burrell led 14th-seeded Xavier (21-11) with 22 points.
Indiana 87, San Diego State 83
Salt Lake City - Outplayed on almost every level, this should have been it for Indiana coach Mike Davis.
The Hooisers (19-11) won despite letting 11th-seeded San Diego State (24-9) shoot 56 percent and despite getting outplayed by the Aztecs for 39-plus minutes.

San Diego - Jean Felix was nearly perfect in scoring a season-high 31 points for the Crimson Tide in a game that was delayed 70 minutes after bomb-sniffing dogs detected something suspicious at San Diego State's arena.
Once order was restored, Felix made five three-pointers in the first 12 1â2 minutes to help the 10th-seeded Crimson Tide (18-12) take a 15-point lead.
Seventh-seeded Marquette (20-11) was eliminated in its first NCAA Tournament appearance since reaching the Final Four in 2003.
UCLA 78, Belmont 44
San Diego - Freshman Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored a career-high 17 points, and UCLA routed the small Nashville school.
Ryan Hollins added 10 points for No. 2 seed UCLA (28-6).
Justin Hare, Boomer Herndon and Andrew Preston had six points each for Belmont (20-11).
