Kansas University's football spring scrimmage looks to be a Big 12 Conference version of Friday Night Lights.
The Jayhawks will hold the annual scrimmage at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 14, to close out spring drills, which start March 11.
The spring game will be preceded by the annual alumni game at 5 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
In addition to the spring game, the Jayhawks will open two practices to the general public - Sunday, March 12 and Saturday, April 1. A third workout will be open to media only.
Two on campus: According to KU's online student directory, two freshmen expected to enroll at KU for spring semester indeed have - defensive back Olaitan Oguntodu and quarterback Todd Reesing, both Texans.
Oguntodu and Reesing graduated from high school in December to get a jump on college, and will be allowed to participate in the upcoming spring drills, as well as the offseason conditioning that starts Monday.
