KU swimming 4th at Big 12 meet

— Kansas University’s swimming and diving team placed fourth Saturday at the Big 12 Championships. Texas won with 942.5 points and was followed by Texas A&M (761), Missouri (453) and KU (439).

KU’s Terri Schramka was sixth in the 200 back in 2:00.72. Jenny Short was ninth in 2:00.85, and Lauren Bonfe was 12th in 2:03.91.

Senior co-captain Gina Gnatzig finished 10th in the 100 free in 51.00.

In the 1,650 free, Molly Brammer was 10th at 16:54.66.

In the 200 breast, Danielle Herrmann finished sixth with a time of 2:17.64.

Ashley Leidigh took the top spot for the Jayhawks in the 200 fly — fifth with a time of 2:02.63.
